JF Acid Reflux Zoa — High End Zoanthid — UK Grown
JF Acid Reflux is a high end zoanthid with a purple inner ring, violet centre and golden-yellow skirt. The first photo shows our established colony; the second shows a frag of the same strain for reference.
Please note: a different-looking zoa has also been sold under the Acid Reflux name in the UK, which can cause confusion. Compare the central purple ring and yellow skirt in our photos with the greener, ringless look-alike discussed in this UK reef forum comparison.
After fragging, this strain can acclimate very slowly—often taking several months. In our experience, it is generally more stable once it has grown into a small colony.

🌿 Zoanthid Acclimation upon Arrival
Beginner Level: Float sealed bag in tank water for 30 mins to temperature-acclimate.
Intermediate Level: Drip acclimate for 30 mins to match water parameters.
Expert Level: For experienced reefers with SPS dominant tanks or proven success with intermediate zoas only. Drip acclimate for 30 mins and maintain:
PO₄: 0.03–0.07 ppm
KH swing: ≤ 0.2 dKH/day
pH swing: ≤ 0.1/day
💡 After Introduction: Place in a low-light area (~50 PAR) with moderate flow for a few days to acclimate before moving it to its recommended PAR.
⚠️ Improper acclimation process might lead to weeks of prolonged sulking or even coral loss.
📦 Shipping Notice: If delivery is unfortunately delayed by Royal Mail, please drip acclimate over 60 mins regardless of difficulty level and contact us immediately for possible DOA coverage.
